Ganderbal, February 05, 2018:- A group of 17 progressive fish famers of District Ganderbal were flagged off by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mr. N.A Baba for exposure visit to within state under the scheme, “Agriculture Technology Management Agency” (ATMA) for the year 2017-18. Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Samoon, AD Fisheries Ganderbal was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC Ganderbal, N.A Baba urged the farmers to take full advantage of the tour by interacting with the experts and their counterparts to get the latest knowledge and know-how about the innovative techniques in the field of Fish farming.
The farmers will visit Trout Fish Farm Laribal Dachigam and Trout Farm Harwan. They will be imparted training and demonstration regarding artificial breeding of Rainbow trout and brown trout. They will also learn about different developmental stages of the Trout, then feeding habits and the other culture practices to boost the production.
AD fisheries, Mr. Samoon, speaking on the occasion impressed upon the farmers to get themselves well equipped with the skills, knowledge and techniques for boosting the productivity of fish farming.
