Anantnag, 10 Aug 2018: The Police Station Kokernag has arrested one notorious poppy straw smuggler at zalangam.During naka checking at village zalangam the Police Party of Police Station Kokernag has stopped one Santro vehicle bearing Reg No JK13A-3234 driven by Akif Ahmed Mantoo S/O Mohd Ayoub Mantoo R/O waghama Bijbehara, and during search of the said vehicle, apparently poppy straw in two sacks was recovered from the dickey of the said vehicle. The poppy and vehicle was seized on spot and accused person arrested.
In this regard case FIR No 109/2018 U/S 8/15 NDPS ACT. registered in this Police Station and investigation taken up.
