‘Govt fails to put an end to civilian killings’

Jammu: National Conference (NC) on Saturday condemned the civilian killings in Kashmir, terming the killings as unfortunate.

NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that the government has utterly failed to put an end to the civilian killings in Kashmir. “The unfortunate civilian killings must be stopped forthwith,” he said.
NC working president, Omar Abdullah termed the civilian killing as painful and expressed grief over the loss of precious lives.

Extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, Omar Abdullah prayed for peace to the departed soul and said he stood in solidarity with the family in their moment of inconsolable loss and bereavement.

National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani and NC spokesman, Junaid Matoo have also strongly condemned the civilian killings in Shopian and extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
