J&K Oct 08 [KNZ]: Dozens of delegations called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday as she began her two-day darbar in the district.

The darbar is a part of Mufti’s public outreach programme.

As many as fifty delegations are scheduled to meet the chief minister during her two day visit to the central Kashmir district.

Dozens of public delegations from different areas of the district are waiting for their turn to meet the Chief Minister at the sports stadium Budgam.

A delegation representing an under-privileged section of the society told reporters that that the CM gave them a patient ear.

“We also raised the non-operation of Tribal Sub Plan in district Budgam and we were assured that action will be taken in this regard,” said Scheduled Tribe (ST) board member Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf.

Alamdar Traders’ delegation from Charar-e-Sharief also met the chief minister.

“We were assured that shopping complex under construction from past many years would be completed soon. One crore rupees were also sanctioned for this complex,” said a member after meeting Mehbooba.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to spend the night in the district.
