“Despite meagre resources, we will prefer getting killed while fighting our enemy than joining hands with them,” said United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday.

A spokesperson of UJC, an amalgam of various armed groups active in Kashmir, Syed Sadaqat Hussain in a statement issued to GNS said, “Mujahideen will continue their fight for freedom and Islam till their last breath. This struggle has brought home the point that every drop of blood of every martyr gives rise to every new mujahid.”

He said New Delhi instead of reading the writing on the wall is making vain attempts of delaying the resolution of Kashmir issue through “suppression” and other tactics. “But history is the witness that making delays in the resolution of issues is not in the nation’s interest. The fate of USSR in Afghan war is an example,” he said.

The spokesperson paid tributes to all the militants killed in recent gunfights with forces in Kashmir. (GNS)
