Bandipora, Feb 18: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the district hospital Bandipora and inspected various sections besides taking stock of the quality health services and medical facilities being provided to the patients.

During his inspection, DDC visited different sections and wards including emergency, operation theatre, ECG unit, Dental section, X-ray and Post Operation wards. He inquired about the availability of medicines, diagnostic and other facilities available in the hospital. While interacting with the patients, DDC inquired about their well being and facilities provided to them.

He directed the Hospital administration to take necessary measures for improving the sanitation and patient care services at the hospital.

Chief Medical Officer Dr Tajamul Hussain briefed Deputy Commissioner about the availability of patient care facilities and medicines. He assured DC that his staff treats patients with utmost dedication and sincerity.

Later the Deputy Commissioner also visited Bandipora market to take stock of the sanitation situation and traffic management in the town.

DC Bandipora visited several locations in the town and interacted with the shopkeepers and the pedestrians. During the visit DC Bandipora ordered suspension of sanitation inspector of Municipal Committee Bandipora for dereliction of duties.

He directed the officers of Municipal Committee to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in the town and also directed them to take action against wrong parking to ensure smooth traffic in the market. He also directed to seize a vehicle that was wrongly parked on road leading to traffic jam.
