Himachal Pradesh Nov 02 [KNZ] “There is no war in which sons of Himachal have not participated. India is fighting Pakistan’s proxy war in Kashmir,” he told the gathering.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday targeted senior Congress leader P Chidambaram over his Kashmir remark, saying “Congress doesn’t have right to insult our soldiers by talking about Kashmir’s Azaadi.”
“Kya Congress ko veeron ki shahadat ka apmaan karne ka haq hai kya? Unke ek neta ne Kashmir ki Azadi ki baat kari hai (Does Congress have the right to insult the sacrifice of the brave? One of their leaders have talked about ‘Kashmir ki azaadi’),” PM Modi said at an election rally in Kangra area of Himachal Pradesh.

“There is no war in which sons of Himachal have not participated. India is fighting Pakistan’s proxy war in Kashmir,” he told the gathering.
He also said that Congress has now become a laughing club.
They need to introspect why people are turning away from them across the country.

Recently former home minister P Chidambaram had backed the idea of greater autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir.
“The demand in Kashmir Valley is to respect in letter and spirit Article 370. And that means that they want greater autonomy. My interactions in Jammu and Kashmir led me to the conclusion that when they ask for azaadi (independence), most people —- I am not saying all —- (an) overwhelming majority want autonomy. Therefore, I think we should seriously examine that question and consider on what areas we can give autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir,” Chidambaram had said.
