Ganderbal, Dec 07【KNZ】: The 7th edition of Chinar Cup Softball Cricket being organised by the J&K Softball Cricket Association, concluded at Eidgah Duderhama here today where Behna team beat Ninja club by 13 runs.

AIP Patron and veteran Cricketer, Sheikh G. A Saloora attended the final ceremony as Chief Guest and distributed trophies and mementos among the players and officials.

President, Ganderbal Sports Association, Sheikh Muhammad Shafi was the Guest of Honour and personalities from Press Fraternity including Mir Aftab, Sofi Ayaz and Majid Wani along with other guests and senior sportsmen attended the function. They were felicitated with mementos.

Sr. Journalist and Sports Promoter, Shah Aijaz (Gen Sec GSA) anchored the whole programme and also announced selection of players for state and national level championships along with other facilities and opportunities to be given to the talented players.

Whole addressing large public gathering, Sheikh Saloora promised youth that he’ll help and support the development of sports infrastructure in the area so that the local talent gets to a flying start of their carrier. He also wished to see the youth of Ganderbal to excel in the field of Education and professional fields. He said he’s eyeing on to see hundreds of boys and girls qualifying for IAS and IPS to serve the society in better ways. Saloora also announced to sponsor the players for the forthcoming State and National Level Championships.KNZ
