Ganderbal 25 Oct【KNZ】:An impressive Passing Out Parade (POP) of J&K Police jawans was held at P.T.S Manigam today. The parade was presided by Hon’ble Chief Minister of J&K state Ms. Mehboba Mufti accompanied by DGP J&K Shri S.P Vaid (IPS). CM congratulated Jawans on their success of full completion of their nine months BRTC course.

After the Oaths taking ceremony All-round best Jawan was awarded on spot First promotion of selection grade & other meritorious candidates were also awarded for their performance during the training by Chief guest Hon’ble CM Ms. Mehbooba Mufti & DGP J&K state.

On the occassion DGP J&K Police Shri S.P Vaid (IPS), stated that the batch is comprising of 696 Jawans out of them 63 are post graduates , 223 are graduates.

During his speech Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister on Wednesday advised police against attacking the families of the militants.

“The way militants are attacking the policemen’s families police shouldn’t do the same. They should maintain difference,” she said.

Maintaining that police was facing many challenges, the chief minister asked the cops to “ensure surrender of local militants”.

Houses of several militants were ransacked and family members allegedly thrashed by government forces during past week in south Kashmir.

ADGP Armed J&k Police Shri A.k. Choudhary (IPS) IGP kashmir Shri Muneer khan (IPS) , IGP Armed Kashmir Shri S.A Mujtaba (IPS), IGP Crime Shri Alok Puri (IPS), IGP CID A.G. Mir ( IPS) , DIG CKR Shri Gh. HASSAN Bhat (IPS) and other officers of J& K police as well as Civil Administration were present on the occasion.
