Kupwara 24 September【KNZ】: Urging Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to rise to the occasion and protect Kashmiris from further humiliation, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed has sought end to humiliation and brutality against Kashmiris at the hands of various security agencies and forces. While interacting with Mehbooba Mufti at Kupwara along with a deputation comprising various walks of life today Er. Rasheed sought Mehbooba Muftis, concrete and time bound intervention in tracing out the missing youth Manzoor Ahmad Khan from Devar lolab who allegedly disappeared in Army custody. Er. Rasheed said “It is duty of the Govt. to ensure safety of its citizens but there can be nothing shameful than the fact that rights of Kashmiris are being bulldozed, their cries taken forgranted and their self respect destroyed on daily basis, one way or the other. There is no justification in killing Kashmiris and disappearing them in custody just taking the shelter of draconian, inhuman laws like APSFA”. Er. Rasheed appealed Mehbooba Mufti to intervene and get two youth from Handwara namely Zahoor Ahmad Pir and Nazir Ahmad Pir back to their homes without further delay, who have been taken by NIA a year after Bahadur Ali an alleged Pakistani militant was arrested in their native village. Er. Rasheed also sought stern action against those who carried out armed rallies yesterday in Jammu on eve of Maharaja’s Birth Day. He told Chief Minister “your good self needs to explain if Kashmiris are dragged even to Delhi just to shut their mouth for speaking truth, how come could the goons in Jammu be allowed to take armed rallies and wave swords and guns. How can it be a tribute to Maharaja and these goons have hackled even Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and humiliated him. If APSFA doesn’t allow Kashmiris to write even a comment of their choice on the social media, how do these anti-peace elements display arms in broad day light just to threaten a particular community”. Er. Rasheed sought withdrawal of FIR’s against all alleged stone palters and reminded CM of her promises she made from time to time in and outside assembly about starting era of reconciliation rather that of confrontation and added that by restoring honour of educated innocent youth and by withdrawing FIR’s against them a beginning towards the ultimate goal could be made.【KNZ】
