Many other PDP leaders approaching NC: Sagar

Srinagar, Dec18 : After days of speculation and rumors, National Conference has finally admitted that PDP former minister Syed Basharat Bukhari was coming to party fold and was likely to join the Party tomorrow . The Party also said that many other PDP leaders with good reputation and Public support were in consultation with the grand old party of the state.

Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar told Regional News Service (RNA) that Mr. Bukhari was welcome to join National Conference and said the former Law minster was likely to join the party on Wednesday. Sagar added that Bukhari is an experienced leader and the party would benefit from his experiences. He further told RNA, that the former minster who was elected twice from Sangrama Constituency consecutively in Baramulla was eager to join National Conference and the party would welcome him whole heartedly.

Meanwhile another former PDP minster Peer Mohammad Hussain was also likely to join the National Conference along with Bukhari tomorrow. Peer Hussain was a former legislator from Shangas constituency in South Kashmir and has also served as Vice Chairman of Wakf Board before leaving the office midway following controversy with PDP leadership earlier this year.

Sources in the National Conference told Regional News Agency ( RNA) that Bukhari and Hussain may join the party at Party headquarters Nawai Subah at 10: 30 am in presence of former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. They said besides, Omar Abdullah, top rank Party leaders were also expected to be present on the occasion. (RNA)
