Srinagar:Authorities on Sunday imposed restrictions in downtown Srinagar thereby keeping several parts of the city out of bound.
Sources said that authorities on today morning put barricades on all the entry and exit points of the old city by erecting concertina wires.

The restrictions have been imposed in view of ‘Eidgah Chalo’ called by the Joint Resistance Leadership tomorrow.

The downtown has been kept out of bounds ahead of death anniversaries of Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone on May 21.

Reports said that transport was not also allowed to move through downtown areas.

However, the pedestrian movement was allowed in these areas.
