Bandipora:Army men opened fire in air after noticing suspicious movement of some bike borne persons in Ajas area of Bandipora in north Kashmir late Sunday.
Sources said that Army’s patrolling party of 13 RR stationed at Ajas fired several shots in air after noticing suspicious movement of some bike borne persons.

 

“Army’s patrolling party tried to stop bike borne persons near Ajas chowk but they did not stop. Then army fired several shots in air. One of the bike borne persons fell from the bike. He has been arrested,” sources said.
He has been identified as Muhammad Ashraf, a resident of Kangan while two of them have escaped from the spot.
Sources said the individual has revealed that he was a thief. He has been taken to police post Ajas for further questioning.

“One person has been arrested. Further investigation is going on,” said a police official
