Anantnag Apr 18, 2018: In order to spread message and awareness among the common masses about the hazards of use of polythene bags, an Awareness Camp namely Swachta Diwas was Conducted By Municipal Committe Achabal.
The ACD Anantnag enlightened the Hazards of Polytene and Stress upon the people to boycott the use of polythene and encourage the useof paper bags for healthier life. He said that Polythene is not only harmful and a source of pollution but detrimental to our economy as well.He also urged upon the Citizens to educate their families as well as neighbours about ill effect of the use of poly bags and make a habit to carry bags made of cloth or paper whenever going for shopping, she added.Among others, Block Development Officer Zonal Education Officer, Executive Officer Municipal Council Achabal and other Representatives of Agriculture, Naib Tehsildar & other concerned department, staff participated in the programme.KNZ
