Drive will continue for 15 days :GMC Executive Officer Ganderbal

Ganderbal 18 Nov (KNZ):Ganderbal municipal corporation (GMC) Sunday conducted anti-encroachment drive to remove street vendors from several areas in the Ganderbal District

During the drive public address system was used to aware general public, especially vendors and shopkeepers about the anti-encroachment laws.

During the drive, several street vendors who had occupied footpaths and roadsides.

GMC’s enforcement squads under the supervision of Executive officer Gh Mohidin Malik in collaboration with Revenue Department and Police carried the anti-encroachment drive Tawheed Chowk to Beehama on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr Piyush Singla. During the drive, unauthorized banners,trees,walls and other were also removed from few places.

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted GMC Executive Officer Gh Mohidin Malik he said that the drive would continue till all vital roads in Ganderbal are cleared from encroachment.

He also said that have cautioned the people against indulging in encroachments under the garb of the prevailing situation. They have sought people’s cooperation in preventing in Ganderbal from falling prey to the greed of the encroachers and land-grabbers.(KNZ)
