GANDERBAL 25 Sept【KNZ】:Acting on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Dr.Piyush Singhla, authorities here conducted anti-encroachment drive along Trout Nallah at Duderhama Ganderbal in Central Kashmir.

Official said a team of officers led by DC Ganderbal himself ADC Ganderbal Shah Nawazbukhari,SSP Ganderbal Mr Fayaz Ahmad Lone,Tehsildar Ganderbal Rabiya Yousf,Dysp Dr Ramiz Raja along with Revenue ,irrigation,Municipality officials conducted the drive from District Hospital Ganderbal and adjoining areas.

“During the drive, around 100 trees, walls, plinths were demolished from the areas. The demolition process will continue till encroachments are removed,” the official said.

Implementing the instructions of DC Ganderbal, the district administration Ganderbal launched a massive anti-encroachment drive to restore width of Trout Nallah to its original position,” official said.

SSP Ganderbal once again warned encroachers offenders that no footpath should be encroached by keeping any belonging over it. It should be ensured that footpaths are being used only for pedestrian movement,”.

 

The District Administration also asked all the people whose structures fall within the demarcation made by the Revenue, Irrigation and Flood Control Departments to voluntarily remove the encroachments, official added.
