Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Anantnag on Thursday to mourn the killings of two militants in a gunfight with government forces yesterday.

Two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, one of them from Doda in Chenab valley region of J&K, were killed on Wednesday in a gunfight with government forces in main town Anantnag.

The slain militants have been identified as Binyan Yousuf Dar alias Bilal Molvi, a resident of Khodweni area in Kulgam district, and Abid Hussain Bhat, son of Wali Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Suzan village in Doda district.

Local sources said that all shops and other business establishments are closed while as traffic are off the roads in the town and other adjoining areas.
