Ganderbal 12 DEC【KNZ】:More than 176 youths from District Ganderbal in different areas involved in stone pelting case were given amnesty.

A meeting was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Mr Fayaz Ahmad Lone in Mini-Secretriat Ganderbal confrence hall.

On the occasion ADDC Ganderbal, ASP Ganderbal,Senior PDP leader,Police officers, senior citizens and Udaan project coordinators were present in the meeting.

The youth were counseled and were given information about Udaan training and post training jobs,” Police said.

Recently, the newly appointed Government’s interlocutor on J&K Dineshwar Sharma had visited the state and interacted with different representatives of the people there but overall response was said to just lukewarm. This effort is being considered as confidence building measure by the Centre. 

The state government is also ready to pardon the youths who have been booked in cases of stone-pelting in the state, if they shun violence and live normal lives.
