Expresses satisfaction over arrangements

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 1: The Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today conducted a surprise visit to various examination centers on the commencement of 10+2 board examinations and took the firsthand appraisal of the supervisory facilities being made available for smooth conduct of examinations.

On his visit, the Minister was accompanied by Secretary School Education, Farooq Ahmad Shah, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Director School Education Kashmir, Dr G.N ltoo, Chairperson JK BOSE, Veena Pandita, Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Dar and other concerned officials from Education Department.

The Minister visited Presentation Convent School in Rajbagh, Girls Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh and SP Higher Secondary School, M.A Road where he interacted with the students.  He expressed satisfaction with regards to the smooth conduct of exams and deployment of adequate supervisory staff.

On the occasion, Bukhari was informed that around 55,000 students are enrolled for the examinations and around 496 examination centers have been setup for smooth conduct of examinations.

Emphasizing on the conduct of fair examinations, Education Minister said, if anyone is found involved in unfair means, he/she will not be spared and the strict action will be initiated against that person under the law.

Speaking about the overall development of Education sector in Jammu and Kashmir, Bukhari said that scores of developmental projects are being implemented and various projects have been earmarked which will lead to the development of education sector on the modern lines.
