Srinagar : After the killing of Zakir Musa in May 2019, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH) founder and commander in Tral, the militant outfit has announced Hameed Lelhari as its new commander.

According to the reports, Lelhari had served as Musa’s deputy since July 2017. The revelations, that have come in a new 11-minute video released by al-Hurr, the official media wing of AGH, has Abu Ubaidah Hafizahullah, the AGH spokesperson, saying that while Lelhari alias Haroon Abbas has replaced Musa, while Ghazi Ibrahim Khalid has been appointed as his deputy.

A report by Times of India has also quoted the Jammu and Kashmir police confirming the Lelhari’s takeover.
