Srinagar 04 May【KNZ】:Social Activist and youth leader Advocate Altaf Lone today criticized government of Jammu and Kashmir for neglecting police department employees in 7th pay commission.

In a statement Advocate Altaf Lone said, “Police is working in difficult condition in Kashmir and previous and current governments have neglected police department employees and have used them for there personal benefits time and again. Government haven’t taken police employees interests into consideration in 7th pay commission. It is injustice to them.”

Alleging descrimination with J&K police department employees, he said, “There is huge disparity in pay as compared to other employees. In J&K CRPF is paid risk allowance of Ruppes 4500 while J&K police is only getting Ruppes 100. While CRPF is getting ration money of 3600 rupees, J&K police is only paid 2000 rupees.”

“In 7th pay commission a meager 2.5% hardship allowance has been earmarked for police employees. It is discrimination with hardworking police employees.”He added

In the statement Advocate Altaf Lone appealed CM Mehbooba Mufti to look into the matter on priority basis. Otherwise the descrimination will demoralise whole police force of J&K.KNZ
