Ganderbal (Gund) 09 April (KNZ):In a embarrassment to district administration, the resident of village Doyi Pati Gund in central kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday said the area is cut off from tehsil Headquarter from more than two month and no steps had been taken by the district administration to restore the road connectivity in there area.

A delegation from Doyi Pati Gund village told Kashmir News Zone-KNZ that the link road was blocked due to snow avalanche in month of February and authorities have so far failed to restore the road connectivity in the are.

The villagers said they have remained cut off from the Tehsil headquarter for two months and were facing hardships.

Being a hilly area, we have received heavy snowfall and snow avalanches but authorities have so far failed to restore the road connectivity and we have taken alternate route via Forest area to reach Tehsil headquarter Gund said Fareed Ahamd a local resident.

For medical emergency or any pregnant women need to go for checkup they have walk on foot around 5 kilometers to Gund health centre as the road is closed we are on the mercy of Almighty said Nayeema Bano a local resident.

Our village having at least 48 household amidst lack of road connectivity in the village, no vehicle could reach our village the residents said This is administration failure and exposes the tall claim of having carried out development in the far flung area the another aggrieved resident said.

When Kashmir News Zone-KNZ Contacted R&B EXN Mr Sajad Ahmad he said the clearance operation was taken up to clear the road at the earliest.KNZ
