Kangan: Five teachers of a government middle school in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district were suspended on Tuesday for their unauthorized absence from their school.

Officials said during a surprise visit carried out by Chief Education Officer Ganderbal (CEO) five teachers of government Boys middle school Behki Margoona in Kangan area were found absent from their duties without any formal permission.

They said five teachers posted at the school have been suspended till further orders.

The absentee teachers have been placed under suspension with immediate effect, officials said.

The Teachers suspended include Firdous Ahmad Shah (Headmaster), Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Riyaz Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad and Sheikh Mohammed Ashraf.
