11th class chemistry paper leaked day before exam: Students

Stern action will be taken against culprits: education minister.
Various students appearing in class 11 examination said the chemistry question paper set by Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education was leaked a day before the examination. The examination for the paper was scheduled today.

Students said the paper was available on social networking application, WhatsApp ahead of examination.

Some students forwarded the leaked paper to this reporter hours before the examination was to begin.

In the morning, when the chemistry question paper was opened in the exam hall, “it fully matched with the leaked paper.”

The parents as well as the students expressed strong resentment. “Even though the paper was available on social networking site WhatsApp much before its schedule, the administration kept mum,” Abdul Rashid Kumar, a parent said.

Meanwhile, the students demanded immediate intervention by the board authorities in the matter. “The minister concerned and the board authorities must intervene immediately so that justice is done and those responsible for the leak are taken to task,” the students said.

Minister for education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari told Greater Kashmir that he would take up the matter with the board authorities. “It is a serious concern and I assure you that stern action will be taken against the guilty culprits.” he added.
