Rajouri, Feb 12 (GNS): Authorities on Tuesday exhumed a body of a Pak national after more than six months at Kampla Mohra in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Station House Officer (SHO), Nowshera Mohd Amin Malik told GNS that the body of the Pak national namely Irshad Ahmad 30-years son of Mohd Shabir of Kotli Gujjran was exhumed today following the magisterial orders.

“The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad, had ordered the exhumation. The orders followed after Pakistan army had taken up the matter with counterparts following which the legal process of the body after the family of the deceased approached authorities here”.

Civil and police officials, including Tehsildar, Additional SP Nowshera, SHO concerned and a team of doctors were also present on the spot, he said.

The body after exhumation was handed over to army authorities for further transportation to his native village via Chakan da Bagh crossing, he said.

On the intervening night of 22/23-07-2018 Irshad after intruding this side of Line Of Control (LoC) died due to electric shock at Sair in Nowshera sector, he said.

“Next day, he was buried at Kampla Mohra. A case FIR No 147/18 U / S 2/3 E&IMCO stands registered in police station Nowshera in this regard,” he said. (GNS)
